Rain gardens

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rain_garden

As we all know, water is vital, and vital for us to understand where
it goes, how it is stored in natural aquifers underground, where it
ends up in lakes sewage drains, how it transpires from plants to the
atmosphere, and from the oceans. The hydrologic cycle is of vital
importance to all life on this earth.

With a rain garden, we can move toward a more natural system, instead
of the inefficient and unnatural ones we have today in our urban, suburban styled areas.
